Lotté Jean’s book, Letters to Jupiter, is a beautiful collection of poetry and prose. The cover is simply stunning, soft and delicate but detailed. The poems within are filled with relatable lines that draw the reader in. The imagery she uses is often captivating. While there are no set sections, the pieces are curated well. I enjoyed the transition from darker, sorrow-laden and angst-filled pieces into the lighter, more hopeful ones. Jean has an excellent grasp on emotion and how it is so often overwhelming. There are many powerful pieces punctuated by soft realizations.  I was also particularly fond of the many nature references.
